i've had a couple cars that made noise when the clutch pedal was released in neutral, but not when the pedal was depressed. one was a 98 nissan 240sx, and the other is my 95 GSR. both had new clutches, throwout bearings, and pilot bushings installed. i can't really tell you what causes it, but it never really caused any problems for me.
Could be a few things. First.....what car do you have? You probably have an Integra due to you posting in this forum, but what year? Cable? Hydro?
Could be something as simple as adjusting the cable, or something as complicated as a fucked up transmission. Give us more details.
