panel clock no longer illuminates
I changed the battery in my wife's 2000 Accord. The car alarm started going off, so I had to pull out the radio and get its serial number so we could get the car's 5 digit code. After all that (changing the battery, pulling then replacing the radio), the panel clock no longer illuminates when she turns on the lights at night. All the fuses are fine. What is going on with the thing?
have your gf pop out the clock for you, you don't even need to pry it out with screwdriver, long nail is all you need.
and then you'll see a little grey dot in the back marked with a "x" slot, turn it counterclockwise and it will pops out.
the grey plastic "base" is intergrated with the blub.
it's 2dollar at goudy honda

Check the wires that go to the clock also they are attached to the same part of the harness that the radio is. You may have simply unpluged the connection while removing the radio.
You have to take out the cluster to reveal the odo back light
it's neither a 194 or mini honda blub
v6 and i4 have a totally different design from the back
