So after a month (3 days short of) I got my R back from the dealership with new valves and timing belt. I gotta 12 month warranty on the work soo I am going to keep the acura belt until those 12 months are up and throw on a PE or toda TB.

The car is running strong, but I can't get on it too hard until the vavles have some time to break in and set.

All in all the caR is running fine, but when I rev it up at idle or driving between 1-3 rpms there is a SLIGHT rattling noise that almost sounds like detonation (which I do have detonation problems) around the vtec solenoid area.

I am going to take it back to them and make them aware since it was not like that when i brought it in. Once it gets about 500-700 miles on the new vavles I am going to get it re-dyno tuned. Should be over 205 wheel then. But I am curious what that noise could be. Its not a bad noise, just a noise that I don't think should be there.

And its not loud. Let me know what you think.

I hope I don't have to lose it again for a few more weeks. I missed it way too much!

man you do no i just spend over $2000 to get my car back. More towards $3000. I honestly have no money left for anything. I had been saving A. for expo and B. for a few other performance mods like a smsp header.

yea they did, and they put all performance vavles back in to. somebody there was looking out for me though.

glad you got yours back. i got rear ended on monday- will have to take it to the body shop and drive (insert crappy car) for a while.

ooo I KNOW i am lucky to have gotten the work that I did. But I hope you all realize I paid NEARLY TWICE AS MUCH as mnay other shops by going to the dealership. The only plus is the warranty.

OO I paid, just not intially. I don't have a credit card, so my mom put it on hers and I wrote her a check.

Hense the reason I am POOR!!!! It sucks man, i was saving money like a champ for track time and performance this spring and summer. Now I bascially have nothing.

What comes around, goes around. My parents got me a set of tires once. I payed for my dad to go to EXPO 5.

In some cases i would agree.....

The instances i am refering to are when youngsters are handed $$$ and never required to pay it back...aka spoiled bRats

Agreed.. although I woulda liked some of that money when I was younger

Spoiled brats suck, but friends that can buy you lunch with Mom's credit card == teh win!

haha yea I know some people who are def rich enough that mommy and daddy pay for them AND Their friends. the kids even have the parents credit card at all times with a limit that can spend each money.

Some of the brats around here (highschoolers) that go to private schools mostly, have never worked a day in their lives. I pitty them
