maintenence required light
ok so i read on the CEL light sticky thread, i know what a CEL is. but how do i find out what the MAINT REQD light stands for? its kinda bothering me and it just showed up this morning after a hard start cause it was 11* outside when i left.
the maintenece light is just a clock man... its goes off after so many miles... its a technique used by acura to get you to bring ur car in to them... u can reach under the right side of the steering wheel under the dash and press and hold the green button untill the light goes off... make sure the car is off and ignition is cut on to accessorys

You can't see it unless you can fit your head between the gas pedal and the bottom of the dash area. Just reach down to the bottom right side of the dash - where your knee would go if driving (if you are looking straight ahead at your steering wheel), and feel around on the edge of the plastic. You should feel a squarish button, hold it in, turn the key to access. and hold it down until the light goes off.

I just did this myself with no knowledge of the button was an just tips from other members,I was able to turn it off using the button without even looking.I just reached my hand under the plastic near where my right knee would be when driving. Its a button inside a box, really easy to feel out.
Probably similar, they may have some info on http://www.7thgencivic.com or in the Civic forums. They have changed it over the years, in the 90-93 Accords when the maintanance required indicator flipped on, you had to push your key into this little hole to reset it, and earlier civics and integras don't have one at all.
