Question for those who have installed an ATS final drive?

Once the countershaft is fully reasembled with the JDM first gear should the 1st gear spin freely on the countershaft or is it supposed to be interlocked to the shaft somehow?

Spins freely if my memory serves me right.
It has two needle bearings, right?

-distance collar slides down on the new ats pinion. kinda slides into place.

-needle bearing goes around the inner part of the distance collar.

-jdm 1st goes on the needle bearings.

-jdm 1st should spin freely.

-distance collar doesn't spin freely.
