if i were to get a jdm final drive kit from inlinefour or other places, does it come with everything i need? Do i have to replace the first gear and does it come with the kit. If i do have to replace the first gear, what is the reason for this? I thought that all b-series first gear have the same ratio. thanks

No you don't have to replace first gear, you only replace the outer ring gear of the differential, other gears remain as they were.

And JDM final drives came in 4.785 and 4.4, might want to be more specific if you have any other questions about it.
