Not trying to thread jack but I think it fits in this thread and don't want to create an entirely new one...

My suede ITR seats came with a small spot of something sticky that ended up hardening... for the life of me I can't get that spot out of my suede seats...i've tried cloth, water, and bissel cleaner but nothing! What should I use??? Something that isn't strong and wont fade the black...

I used this stuff when i first bought my recaro seats. They were covered in JDM dirt and grime. This stuff works absolutely amazing.

take them out of ur car, wrap them in them big black trash bags, store them in ur heated house and replace the seats with ur stock ones...hehe

id say be gentle when u get in and out. thats when its most vulnerable to rips. while ur sitting, u dont move much but when u get in and out, thats when u rub on them.

nice seats... ... i would suggest not using Scotch-guard ..... this product contains silicone which basically creates a coating over your leather/swede... and this coating itself can crack.... i suggest you go to a leather store and pick up some water protector thingie which does not have silicone in it... and you should be fine.... also get a small soft brush to get dirt out when you're cleaning them....

see the whole misconception about type-r seats is that they are suede. They are not, they are Alcantra. It is a synthetic. More durable, man made, and cheaper.

I got that Oxy-Kic stuff at the grocery store in the cleaning section. Home Depot or Wal-Mart would probably have it too.

I tried it out on the back and top of one seat and it lifted all the crap out and i basicly wiped it off with a cloth. Then let them dry for a day or however long its takes and voila. minty clean seats

LOL thats what I do. But If I put them in my car it would get stolen.

I used a lint brush to get rid of shiney spots. It ruffs and fluffs the suede back up. Kinda combs it.

it might make the padding wear down quickly, and they might fade blue if the sun is intense enough. My rear seats are a bit faded on the top. nothing to worry about IMO
