cutting valve reliefs for b20 vtec

cutting valve reliefs for b20 vtec
I have searched for awhile now and can't find out if it is neccessary to cut valve reliefs on stock b20z2 pistons to put my gsr head on it. The head has been milled, and is fully built. any help would be great
