Default Squeeky clutch

Since the rains here in socal, my clutch has started squeeking when I push the pedal in and out. It does not appear to be the pedal assembly itself since I attacked that with WD40 to no avail. I had a friend pump the pedal while I listened and it sounds like it's actually coming from either below or inside the transmission housing.

How could this happen and what can I do about it?

Number 1, but that part will only make the noise when the car is running and the clutch pedal is pressed. Do this happen all the time even with the car off ?

The scatter sheild isnt off is it? there could be a rock jammed in there against the flywheel or inside the clutch.

This happens whether the car is on or off. It's just a creaking sound when my clutch pedal is depressed. Like a squeeky hinge or joint. It's not part of the pedal assembly though, it's coming from under the engine in the vicinity of the transmission.

If it squeaks with your car off, you need to grease the contact point between the slave cylinder piston and the clutch release fork.

It's not your throw-out bearing.

lol

Anyways i have the same problem too, it happens whether the car is on or off, so that rules out the throwout bearing. So where exactly do I have to lube? and with what?

mine did the same thing, it was annoying when i would go to start the car. Lube ur entire car up and its not going to do anything. 10 bucks says if u spin ur throwout bearing it makes hella noise.

Duh you just proved his point. The throwout bearing does NOT spin when your car is off and you push the pedal down. It only spins when the car is on and the clutch ins disengaged.

I think I know what your saying but you contradicted yourself. I think you ment to say it does not spin when the car is off.

Or maybe the throw-out fork. The picture above is a cable clutch, so there's a shaft that goes thru the case. That shaft #3 can squeak where it rotates in the case. On a hydraulic clutch the throw-out fork pivots on a ball/socket arrangement. That ball & socket might need grease, in addition to the stuff that wreckedmyteg showed.
