Probably not that best car for the snow but I would still get it.

driven my car in the snow.. 4th gen.. too low tho.. kinda got stuck gettin outa the driveway. besides that. it wasnt that bad besides it got dirty.lol if its not lowered.. it should be fine just like any other car since its FWD
the correct question would be: how are YOU in the snow? your automobile basically does what you tell it to do....if you understand physics and you don't tell your car to do something stupid, you shouldn't have any trouble....but to answer your question....
i've owned 3 preludes and an accord....i've driven them all in 1-6" of snow and the only problem i ever had was trying to go up a dirt driveway that had a 16inch deep snowdrift....it didn't go very far, so i stuck it in reverse and parked in the street....basically clearance and skill are your only issues

I drove my 4th gen w/ stock tires that were pretty worn out. It wasn't alot of snow (like 1-3") but it was alright. As long as you know the limit of your own skills and how hard you can push the car it'll be ok.

4th gens are fine...as long as you know how to use the e-brake

But other things can F that up for ya. Take me for example.
About two winters ago, I tried driving on an icey day w/ my Prelude, which was lowered ~2.5 inches, had horrible camber, and the insides of my tires were worn smooth. I'm going 30 MPH on a completely straight road, when all of the sudden my car turns a 180 in the middle of the road and slides into a ditch. LUCKILY it was directly in front of a redneck buddy's house, and within 5 minutes I had him and his dad in their trucks w/ winches pulling me out
Got good tires? Got a good, non-performance alignment? Not lowered much? Then you should be fine.

two words: Bridgestone Blizzak.
I have LM-22s, while I'm not going to tout that I'm unstoppable or any such nonsense, I haven't gotten stuck, I haven't had any trouble getting or maintaining traction and they're not terribly loud either at highway speeds.
Of course they're an arm and a leg, so get the WS-50s and call it a day. (Once again, this doesn't mean that you can drive like an a$$hole, but it'll make the car definitely more surefooted in the snow).
