I've never noticed the small red light just over the lamp-light intensity adjusting button (how do you call this?) which is on the right of cruise & moonroof button.
I don't know what this means when it is turned on red. It glitters even I pull the key out!
I have no idea about keyless entry or anti-theft lock since I don't use these feathures.
Any idea?

could it be an alarm signal light. I dont have one on my car but that is where I would mount an alarm light.
