Default Can a battery change out blow up a Coil???

Just put a brand new battery into my car and went to start it up and it won't start. Has fuel but no spark. When I turn the key on and off I get a slight spark. I have another coil I can check at work tomorrow, but I don't understand how this could have happened. Also, I am no a moron, I do know that black is negative and red is positive. Just wondering if anyone else has ever had this happen to them. I have an aftermarket MSD Blaster Coil....Matt

I hate to actually post this but i found the problem. If you install a stinger battery in a civic/integra, make sure when you screw down the battery tray that you dont screw through the main wire harness ....Matt
