what is the purpose of the "maintaince required light" in the 5th gens? when i first got mine it was green then it turns yellow and now its red. does it turn red every 5000km so you know when to do an oil change or something? and how can i reset it back to green?

 

It's to remind you of your oil change intervals (mainly).

To reset it, push it in with you ignition key.
