Default Does a weighted shifter **** have any adverse affects

I'm asking cuz the one i bought is made of solid chrome (supposedly) and weighs about 1-3 pounds at least . Will this be bad for the tranny or if i shift normally will it be fine.

PS no flamin the chrome shifter, it's actually got a nice feel to it, except in the winter

the only effect on the tranny comes from the user operating the clutch and shifter. shifter ***** don't matter...

It definitely gives more positive shifter feel. Shifting is a bit quicker too, since you've placed more weight at the end of the lever.

I'm going to be welding a 10 pound dumbell onto my current shift ****. I'll be able to get a better grasp on the shifter and have smoother shifts too.

I'll update with pics

Aside from negatively affecting total vehicle weight, it won't hurt anything.

im sure it is steel since you have to chrome metal to get the "chromed look..." unless its that shitty plastic stuff that they wrap badges in. which i highly doubt.

even that shitty chrome stripping you see on trucks from time to time is chromed sheet metal(ungalvanized)..
