i see alot of cars with their headlights taped up. i didnt see anything in the rule book. or i may have missed it. but whats the deal with that? do you have to do that because if glass? if so do i need to do it to my 94-01 integra. the integra head lamps are plastic i think.

its to stop the glass shattering in the event of an accident...it holds all the pieces together rather than them being strewn all over the track

some people do it to reduce drag. seeing that the way the 94 tegs headlights were designed, it creates a lot of drag.

 

if it's plastic, there's still potential of pieces flying, so tape will help hold the pieces.

Taping up the 94+ light holes so that its smooth, reducing drag because air flows over the light holes. Some people tape up the whole headlight, or tape an X across them, or tape up the holes around them.
