Default Please Help Me Figure Out My Shift Points... i have no tach

my second car is a 94 cx and there is no tach. can somebody calculate at what speeds i should shift. i usually shift 1-2 around 20 because 25 is my rev limit and after that i have no clue on when to shift. i dont wana hit rev limit all the time so yeah.

im planning on taking the cx to track sometime and see if i can pull a 17sec or 18sec run lol

i'd shift right before the revlimiter puts an end to your fun. you can calculate it but you need to know the rpm the revlimiter steps in at, gear ratio's for the tranny [1st, 2nd, 3rd... final drive] and your tire size.

then plug that into this...

Mph = rpm x tire diameter / Gear ratio x 336

or you can just take the car out and run it into the revlimiter and note the speed it steps in at...
