Blox with SC61 facing
anyone in here mounted a precision sc61 with the compressor side towards the PASSENGER SIDE with a blox manifold on a b series? I know a guy that did it with an inline pro manifold and i know they are close to the same design.

it will fit fine, just gotta shave the block some... unless it's an S housing... then ur gonna have to shave A LOT. an sc61E is the same physical size as ur average t3/t04e with a .60 a/r compressor. i have a blox manifold on my LS with a 60-1 hifi. i had to shave a nice amount off the block, but it fits.
awesome, im picking up a sc61 that needs a rebuild for 150$!! anyone know how much a compressor blade is for one if it did need that...i think one guy said like 115$ and the regular rebuild is 250$ for the rest of it.

hmm...i dont know, i have the max rev stainless steel log style mani, is that about the same....it doesnt turn the turbo so i can put a filter on it though, just a screen. its just strait.

Used the rev-hard manifold (not the Drag replacement) kept from shaving the block much by getting an additional head flange as a spacer. saved a lot of time..

my block is already shaved because of my MaX Rev Kit. ive got the t3/to4e .57 a/r .60 but i dont think its gonna quite push me to the 425whp mark and other people have said this as well. Ill prolly get the blox over the rev hard. surely it will work if the rev hard works fine.
i could prolly get one, you just cut into the webbing that the compressor hits on when you try to install the turbo. its not like its a big deal....or hurts the block. its just the outer casting.
should i get the blox, ive found them for some good prices. Anyone know if the blox will be fine with the sc61 and the compressor facing the passsenger. !!!??

I have a Blox ready for my Teg, no idea if it will allow a T3/4e to clear the block, probably not though, i will proably use a spacer as long as compressor doesnt hit the rad.
Im keen to keep webbing intact as IMO it keeps the block stiffer.

Please explain how using a head FLANGE (Not gasket) is "ghetto"..

it will be easily noticeable...just would look stupid i think. shaving the block doesnt hurt anything with stiffness....they cast that **** where they can prolly. you would have to get a whole other set of longer studs for the manifold if you. I know ill prolly have to shave the block, but i already have for my e housing turbo with a strait flanged max rev manifold. so im sure the angled flange of the blox with the sc61 will be about the same spot.
