Default To those who have the Inline Pro Manifold

Well this morning I went to go get my flange welded on my downpipe (ended up having to modify the revhard downpipe alittle). Anyways I have a b18b w/ a inline pro manifold, t3/t04e (57 trim, .60 a/r compressor housing; .63 a/r exhaust housing w/ a stage 3 wheel) anyways, i figured i would have to trim some of the block, but when i attempted to install the manifold and turbo, it didnt even come close.....i took off the compressor housing in order to do the mods to the downpipe.

anyways, wonder if any of you guys had alot of clearance issues w/ the t3 inline pro manifold w/ the block, it almost seems like i may have to take a chunk out of the plate w/ the engine code is engraved. regardless, it looks like ill have to shave a lot more than i originally thought of. when i had my drag 3 kit, i didnt have to shave it at all, but it was a smaller compressor of course.

Art and stan give me a call when you guys get a chance.

p.s. i didnt bring my digital camera to the shop otherwise i would have taken pics.

hummm thats odd u had to modify the downpipe. With my revhard mani i had to shave a good portion of the block(the webbing, not the engine code area) to make the t04e housing fit. I have a feeling u didnt have to modify the downpipe if u shaved the block first. but oh well. just shave it and then polish it. bling bling dawg!

lol, ok, heres what i did, i had the the manifold and turbo together and tried to put it on, but i couldnt get it to fit cuz it hit the webbing. so i took the compressor housing off, and it fit, barely, i bolted down the assembly to the block. and then came the down pipe. i got the downpipe from revhard. and it came w/ out flanges or anything, it was a little long up top so i had to cut it, and i dunno if we cut it at a different angle, but i got it where i liked it (plenty of clearance everywhere) however the bottom section was aiming down a little, so we cut it and re welded it, it fits good now, just had to do some minor mods.....like i said, it could have been where we cut it to weld the flange, anyways, im just worried about the webbing.....but im too lazy to go start shaving, i wont be install that junk for a few days....maybe a week, who knows when you are dumb enough to lose the damn serial cable to the aem ems....

I was going to run my Garret .48 trim 4bolt turbine housing on there. I would have grinded away into the flywheel housing with that manifold.

I talked to Stan @InlinePRO. They designed the manifold for 5bolt flanges. With a certain Compressor housing.

BTW, that coated manifold looks like Ed's 97 R: correct?

I have the same turbo with a 4 bolt exhaust housing. I had to shave off a lot of the block, even a slit in the coolant plug, and the turbo too to get it to fit, not much clearance.

ot: with the inline pro manifold, would it be possible to rotate the turbo so the compressor would be on the driver's side if the downpipe was on the opposite side?

Mase the offset of the garret 4 bolt turbine housing moves the chra into a different location so this is why you probably will have this problem. If you dont want to cut too much, which I dont think you should, buy a turbo with a 5bolt turbine.

in response to this. Yes, it's possible. You'll need a half core radiator (92-95 Civic or DelSol) And need to remove the AC. I'm doing this with the exact same setup - and will take pictures of it soon. Custom downpipe by Jeff's Insane Exhaust here right by my house.

art...your turbo is 5 bolt thats why you have more room than mase, correct(cause they are diff...from the pics)
how far/howmuch can i hack off of the block where the numbers are?

im guessing mine will fit like this but with a 4" inlet . is it hollow behind thenubmers there or is it solid? will it be a prob if i hack a good chunk off(yes that means losing the code, but its elsewhere and or i can write it down)
cause i really need my a/c.

maybe ill just sell everything maybe thats why i had to modify the damn rev hard downpipe as well.....hrmm....its a sign y0, im gonna cut the webbing as much as i can, if that doesnt work, i think thats a sign i should sell everything

yeah, gt30..
ok so i was sitting here thinking what am i gonna do..
do i rememeber about the spare b16 shortblock i picked up friday night..
oh yeah..its in my garage.. so i take my mani and turbo and head to the garage..i have a piece of 2 x4 and i drill some holes(after looking at some pics of placement) and screw my mani to it..then i bolt my turbo to the mani and voila..ghetto head y0! SO I position the apparatus as close to what it would be like if i bolted it up to the head... and it wont go in the right spot(obviously) because the turbo is hitting the webbing(underneath..from looking at it from above) AND the "code plate" so it looks like ive got to make a new motor or something my housing is big, my inlet is big and there isnt a lot of room. im hoping ill be able to get it to work but right now it looks like im gonna have to hack a lot off. im gonna try to find cheap head,,,er A cheap head so I can really give it a proper test fit and i guess ill practice cutting on my spare block.
how far can I cut????????

Call around and find out if you can turn the turbo around where it is on the driver side. That is the only thing I can think of.

ok, but is this with a B, E, or S series compressor housing? That's important.
