Default Subs for '95 honda civic

i have a '95 Honda Civic 4door and i looking to get subs for my car, i want to get subs that are powerful, yet wont make my ears bleed, also trunk room is a issue, i was thinking two tens, but im not sure im looking to spend about $200-$250 on the subs. then i need an amp to go along with it, im new to hooking this up, ive installed speakers before but never amps and subs... if anyone can give me some suggestions on 2 subs and an amp, i would greatly appreciate it!

thanks!!!

id go with 1 ten at least for now, one that has a low size requirement, you could be surprised the kind of volume you can get from one good properly powered sub. I can vouch for the Kenwood 1025DB, an Excelon series, I got mine for 150 tax included. it should be less now. it is a 250RMS 1000 peak rated sub. and a dual voice coil so you can wire it to 2 ohm to make sure you have enough power. Its suggested enclosure sizes, as given to me by Kenwood themselves,...

The enclosure recommendations

Im going to guess that is not including the sub's mass, so you probably need about .2 or so sq ft extra, my guess. Still, thats small. Ive got a 1.25 box, and while it works and is deep, Ive got much much more power than needed, and I can make it hit the back, which is bad... so im going to a smaller box soon to give it a stiffer air suspension.. In either case,.... 2 tens will take a lot of trunk room, stick with 1 10, or 1 12

One RE-SE 12" with 600 Watts going to it and a 2.0 Cu.Ft. unported box. Will pop the windows out of your car and sound great.
