im taking a long trip and to prevent road tar and bugs from scoring into my bumper , so i taped udp the front end with the blue tape! But what i want to know is will that ruin my paint or anything? is it safe and good for my bumper?\

Yeah its safe, unless your out in 100+ heat and leave it sitting in the sun

im doing this for my road trips to la this summer, only driving at night though, and removing tape upon arival.

if you use the 2", im sure itsnot all that much, 2 rolls should do it at about $10.00 total.

 

just dont leave it out in the sun..cuz u get sticky parts of tape on the paint. ive had bad exp considering that i live in the hot LA sun

wow, $10 painters masking tape &gt; $500-$1000 to rent a ******* truck and/or trailer so i can go hang out in LA for a week. wether i get rock chips or not im still driving my car on my road trips, just taking an extra precaution...

 

well it took me 3/4 of the 3m tape to cover up most of my front bumpers and partial hood

 

yeah ive driven to vegas and the bugs were ****** ******** they messed up my clear coat hahaha! damn bastards

3/4 roll of 2"? sweet, gotta love them tiny hondas!

 

i had an extra intake tube alumioun laying around, so i did the old 3m tape and soran wrap, trick, made the intake louder, so i guess it deflekted the heat

 

you should be fine...

 

Drive Colorado to NY, and back with the Blue Tape. Worked great!!!! It's made to protect paint, so how could it harm it? It rained, snowed, and was sunny. No problems. Best 10 bucks I've ever spent to protect my car.

Jonas's car was all taped up a while ago too. It looked crazy sick. The tape won't do anything to your paint. I've been rockin painters tape to keep my bumper on for almost a year
