HElp!! RADAR/LASER DETECTOR
Anyone knows any kind of Good brand for LAser Detector? I found this COBRA ESD9000 9 Band Radar/Laser Detector but i don't know if it Good http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/aw-cg...item=600040616
i was just wondering the same thing.. i did a search and came up with 22 topics .. check them out .. mostly everyone went with the Val 1 or Bel 930
forget the detectors, cloaking devices or passive signal jamming devices are what i would get
Detectors are useless anymore. None of the bigger departments use plain old K or X band anymore...it's gonna be at least instant-on, in which a detector will be just about useless in giving you a heads up. Laser detectors are bullshit, because it'll just light up like a christmas tree after you've been hit. I've had experience in both, and I don't use mine anymore.
I got 4 minor speeding tickets when I had a detector.
I haven't gotten a single ticket since I junked my detector 5 years ago, and circumstances permitting, I do tend to double the speed limit on occasion (not wreckless).
Commen sense is a lot better than electronics, but the Valentine One is the hands-down best.

Mine has saved my *** several times. And the only time I was pulled over was when I did not use it. Car and Driver magazine rated the Valentine One the best by far.
we were talking about stealth and radars in school this is what some guy said.
radar is ok most of them dont get that good range i think
just go all out stealth get some bondo and round out all the sharp edges and corners on your car. paint the whole thing flat black. get some jammers and a cloaker. thats semi stealth if you wanna go all out you can sandblast your windows paint them flat black too get 4 camaras and mount them on the corners of your car and then input that into the cabin so you can see/drive get some nice sound recording equipment and record the sound your engine gives off at different rpm levels and then get a computer and get it to play the opposite frequecy back out. thus canceling the some of the sound your car gives off. also flat black will reflect radar, also your car having no sharp edges will reflect radar and youve got the jammers and the cloaker.
i guess that would work not for a daily driver lol

Every report I've read says those "jammers" are bogus.
Radar "jammers" are passive, they're said to taking incoming radar waves, scramble them, and "send" (I guess reflect) them back to the radar gun, confusing it. To really work, a jammer would have to be active, and have an actual transmitter that sends out scrambled waves to bamboozle the radar gun. This would be totally illegal however.
There is no way of jammer a Lidar either. Best you can do is mask your car's reflective surfaces. Darker colors are best, and the license plate is a bullseye.

so any place i could get a active jammer.. i figured if they really worked then they would be illegal everwhere, but some on has to have a real jammer and i really want one.. i dont want any more tickets

everytime something is released to the general public and made legal the police get released the one up version. For every radar can jammed or get a false signal, i mean in therory you can reverse or sramble anything.
