Default Which speaker wire is negative and which is positive?

In my 99 eclipse, te previous owner like jimmy rigged everything, i dont know what he did, so im returning the whole stereo to basically stock.
He had the back 6x9s running of an amp. And cut the stock wired and used his own to the amp. Well i need to know which one of the stock wires is the positive and which is the negative.
The colors are:
Yellow with red stripe
Grey with red stripe
Im thinking grey is (-) but i just wanted ot doube check if anyone knew.

I cant remeber off my head but here is a tip. Take a 1.5 battery
1. connect to the spkr wires making note of polarity ( ie grey wire
on pos side)
2. *pop* spkr
3. if speaker cone moves out..its correct. If not reverse.
4. repeat as needed.
