Got A Clutch Problem... Possibly Seal Somewhere???
Basically i have a 94 LS with an exedy stage one clutch w/ about 25K on it (installed a year ago). A couple days ago i felt my clutch going weak (soft almost until floor). It continued to get worse and finally last night i couldn't put it into gear.
I just checked the clutch master cylinder and noticed it was low. i put in more fluid and it now works but is not nearly back to normal. Still soft like a couple days ago. I also notcied a little fluid beneath the pedal, pics below.
Let me know if you have any ideas and whats involved for fixing it.

--To the above guy, of course it has something to do with it. If the MC does not exert any pressure the clutch would not function

Just replaced one on my EG, almost exactly the same thing.
First off, undo the lines from the trans to the MC, then plug the lines with the bolts so you don't get the fluid everywhere.
Go inside the car and undo the pin which goes through the shaft. Easy to get out, pain to get in!.
Undo the 2 bolts holding the cylinder on, then hop back out side and pull it out, then put the new one in.
All done, except to bleed the clutch. need 2 people for this one. One outside, one inside. Outside (a) says down, and undoes the nut slightly then the fluid goes out. (a) says up, while tightening and (b) pull the pedal up. Repeat until desired.

yeah sounds like the master cylinder , i just had to do it on my gsr not too bad just get it bled out good. i did it my self with one of those cheap *** one man bleeder bottles from autozone maden it real easy to do by myself.
Most definitely replace the clutch master cylinder. It's a bit awkward getting under the dash. Took me a little over an hour to complete.

might as well do master and slave at the same time man, the crap in the fluid that caused the one to go is sure to cause the other to go out down the line...make it easy on urself...and yes, its definetly the master/slave cylinders!!

I have the exact problem on my car. The seals internal to the master cylinder are likely bad. You could buy a rebuilt kit and rebuild the cylinder with fresh seals, but you might have to hone it. On the other hand you could just buy a new clutch master if it is cheap enough. Forget about replacing the slave cylinde rif there is no problem with it. You can bleed the system at the clutch slave and you DON"T need people. You can use a jar of hydruaulic fluid and a hose on th ebleed nipple and do without anothe rperson. Also, there are tools at the auto parts store that auto bleed. I think they are like $5. Good luck!
yeah my bro is ganna help me. does that look like an unusual amount of fluid under the clutch or is that somewhat normal? the car does have 194XXX miles
. thats for the help

It is about the normal amount of leakage when the clutch master goes. Consider the rebuild kit for the cylinder if the clutch master cylinder is expensive. There should be no leakage if the seals are good.
yup that was the problem. i replaced the master cylinder and its better than before. thanks guys.
