Default Looking for a MC Brace

I'd like to pick up a MC brace, but haven't seen much discussion about them recently.
Did Mike at IPS ever make and sell a MCB (I know he was planning on it at one point).
Does LHT still make and sell a MCB? Where can I contact them?

heeltoe has one - the best I've seen so far:
http://www.heeltoeauto.com/mar...shtml

They aren't a very popular mod around here, some people like em, some people don't, but I made one for my R, and it seemed to stiffen up the pedal a bit. More info on mine here:

I think mine is an LHT, I got it second hand from Oscar.

It definitely firmed up the pedal to where I like it and feel confident mashing the crap outa it before downshifting for a turn.

I read loads of pro and con posts about it before I tried it. It works for me.

When I watch my wife pump the brakes while bleeding, I can see the firewall flex with the M/C.

Not sure I'd notice a pedal difference either, but that was "interesting" to watch..

Yes it works, but for it to fit on a LHD car witjout bending a brake line you need to cut a slot in it, there are at least a couple of thrads in the archive talking about this, I believe Black R made one with good pics

Yes. What Chris F said bugs me also. A bit disconcerting.

if anybody needs the "drive mc" one installed, i'm open for services. yoshi hasn't complained about his...yet.

i might have to pick up this mc brace as well. would be a nice compliment to the new rotors, pads, etc.

it's really a small modification. there's absolutely no improvement in braking performance. but, for most people, there's an improvement in braking transience. i'd say the car would feel "tighter" and more "precise" with the brace.

I agree, seems similar in design to the Feels/Spoon, Z Speed type braces.

I have a Cusco one on my ITR (RHD) and felt a noticeable difference to pedal feel after fitting it, i thought it was only a placebo effect and so screwed the stopper part out again and the pedal is definitely softer without it. Very effective and simple mod to do! If you look at the design of the RHD one it look like it could very easily be turned around the other way to fit LHD cars, the stopper screw would have to be screwed in further, but theres nothing to stop anyone from doing that....

Very well said Jay. I think that's a perfect description.

Chris - who looks back into the ITR forums past: huhuhu... he said 'transient'.... huhuhu.

Who sells the LHD Cusco Master Cylinder brace? i'd be interested in it since it just bolts with no modifications to the body.
