How does the intake sound before and after VTEC?

 

i've had one, before vtec it sounds really deep, it vibrates my car if i floor it down low. In vtec it screams. J's is the loudest intake i've heard.

lol ur right i haven't.. i've only heard good thigns about the arc though.

 

My AEM CAI was louder than my J's.

 

it's loud, and deep... sounds awesome..

btw.. anyone seen the new passwordjdm j's knockoff intake.. looks pretty nice!

from my experience, the ARC induction box with the pipe is much louder than the j's

from the sweat drip off my.....oh yeah; the J's rocks, it's loud, it's mean, it's a whale *****, it's carbon fiber, buy it and be done with it. Next?

 

I love my j's to death... it definetely shakes my car OTH at low rpms... and if u give it just enough throttle, theres a cute little whistle... in Vtec it roars... nice and deep. The most noticeable thing however is the throttle response

 

anyone know the part # for the K&N filter that will fit the J's intake?

 

the j's intake is deep before vtec.. gets really loud at vtec..

With my stock header it sounded like ****. It made a lot of resonance in the cabin, and sounded kind of raspy.

When I changed to a JDM aftermarket header, the sound became much lower and and cleaner but still deep. Really liked it then. Backpressure ownz....

But like all short ram intakes it starts sucking hot air after a few minutes, really worsen the engine performance. It needs an extensive heatshield and a cold air duct to be effective.

AEM CAI
Before Vtec: Very quiet.

After Vtec: Screams

Bad throttle response. Badass vtec "at least you feel that way"

J's racing
Before Vtec: very deep. whole car vibrates.

After Vtec: not too loud... sounds smooth.

real good throttle response. vtec doesnt feel as crazy as AEM CAI

 

hmm..i dont know how CAI is loud...J is SRI..oh well..
