quick question about cel and o2 sensor

Default quick question about cel and o2 sensor

ok its a 95civic witha swap will a cel for o2 sensor stop vtec from engaging? need a quick reply thanks guys

i jus was reading some topics and some say it will work and some say it wont,,,, surposely in obd-1 vtec will work with no o2 sensor, but in obd2 it wont work,.. anyone 100% sure with obd1?

your vtec will NOT engage with a CEL for an o2 sensor..trust me i had the same problem..change it asap because it also messes up the amount of of fuel and **** going through your engine and your car will start to run really bad.

o yeah i already noticed that i am gettin like 16 mpg lol its jus as bad as my 99 ford crown vic

lol yea dude, that is the exact problem i had..go pick up an o2 sensor at honda and you'll be good to go.

Yes it will. I just went out and did the test right now(unplugged o2 and did a run). It still engages

i had obd1 on a sirII b16..can u please just listen to me..hondaguyef stop giving bad advice if you dont know what youre talking about..im not an idiot i have gone through and fixed this EXACT problem...when you have an engine swap..(which you do)..a bad primary o2 sensor will prevent your vtec from engaging..thank you..everyone else whothinks i'm wrong is an idiot..good night

really because i just swapped a 92si with a b16a2 and my check engine light is on with the primary o2 code, the setup is using chipped p28 so its obd1, and my vtec engages just fine, theres just no pull after 7000 heh

i must be an idiot. i don't even know when my own vtec engages... YO!
