Default Need help with my supercharger setup

Ok Im new to FI. I just got this 94 Integra Ls with a JR supercharger. I know, I know, its nothing compared to turbo. But hey I got a REALLY good deal on the car. And Im not looking for a badass car, just something to have fun while driving back and forth all the time. The setup consist of JR charger, JR FMU, AEM shortram, test pipe, greddy evo catback, walbro 255 fuel pump, and a safc2. This car hasnt been tuned since it was charged. Im wanting to know if I should just yank the safc2 off until I get the money to get tuned. The car kinda sputters at full throttle. Im thinking someone messed with the settings on the safc without knowing what they were doing. I have already searched a little and didnt find anything on s/c to help me. If anyone could help out a FI noob I would greatly appreciate it. And if you dont have anything nice to say, well you know what your mom used to say.lol Thanks!

if it is popping at the top end, you may have a lean issue. you could zero out the safc also but if you unplug it, make sure you connect the wires that are cut, you will get a map code and an iac code if i remember correctly.

Its more of a stuttering at WOT. I was just going to disconnect all the wires that connect the safc to the ecu. Unless theres a easier way. I dont have a book for the safc how would I zero all the settings out? Thanks!!

Before you yank anything out, I highly recommend you to get a wideband O2 (i.e. AEM) to monitor your engine. You need to know if your sputtering is due to overly rich condition or just running plain lean.

I agree but if he doesn't have the money to get tuned, chances are he won't be able to afford a 400 dollar wideband either

Yeah thats a little out of the question right now. Ive seen quite a few guys around here running the JR charger and not using anything other than the FMU. No tuning or use of a wideband o2. Its only running at 6 lbs now. Should I just yank the whole setup until I can afford to have it tuned? I know its not running lean because my back bumper has some spots of black on it. Not covered or anything but you can tell its running rich. That and its eating through gas like my old built 5.0.lol

Getting it tuned won't cost you that much. Pick up a set of DSM 450cc injectors ($50) a resistor box ($10) and call me. 513 874 2508 for an appointment. Guarantee it will run a million times better than any FMU setup. And hell, I won't be using the SAFC2 so if you want to take that off the car and sell it to pay for your tuning, go right ahead.

Hey bro. Yeah I planned on hitting you up for tuning soon. A couple of my buddies said they talked to you about their tuning needs too. Josh and Tommy. Josh has a b20 crx and Tommy has a 95 gsr. Ill send you a pm to talk about this further.

You have a pm blundar. So I take it I should take the safc2 off? Is there anything else I should do after taking it off? Like adjust the timing or anything? Thanks!
