Default Did Honda lie to me?

I brought my car to the dealer to get the 5th gear grind fixed, they replaced synchros, etc, and also put in a new clutch. They told me they could install my fidanza for no extra charge.

Well, the other day the called me and told me the fidanza doesn't fit. They said the friction surface was pushing the clutch out. Does that sound like BS? I called fidanza and they said they haven't had any reports of problems. What do you guys think?

Diamond bar honda is very aftermarket friendly. They sell and install all kinds of parts, including flywheels. "DBMotorsports" is what they call that part of their dealership.

Sounds like they're BS'n you.

I would head over to the shop and actually have them point out what they're talking about.

And before you go, double check your packaging first to make sure they sent you the right part.

Sounds like BS but like someone already said check to make sure you have the right part then head down to have them show you and if it is leggit then call up fidanza.
I always thought that stealerships would never install aftermarket parts (they must have no warranty on there labor for aftermarket products).

I agree that Honda will not install aftermarket parts. I am shocked that they will install this in the first place. Maybe this dealer is different, perhaps they just dont want to install an aftermarket part. If you are sure they have no problem installing after market parts I would as already stated above, check to make sure you have the right part, and do it quickly. Lord knows the storage fees are on the way.

good luck
