Default HELP..... Slammed into curb need steering info

i have a 97 4 door lx-vtec and i was coming around a turn and then i hydroplaned and slid into the curb, i was doing about 25 when i hit it, the brakes wouldnt stop me and i tried to steer out of it... i bent the center of my rim and it look like only my upper control arm is bent... so i threw the back tire on the front and the donut in the back... when i steer the the left its easy but as i steer to the right it steers in like clicks, i have p/s and it feels like turning when your stopped with no power steering....
has anyone else had this happen and what else could be wrong, and could just the upper control arm be causing this problem... please help asap thanks...

also does anyone know if the upper control arm is a dealer only item, because my car is rare in the junk yard...

If it looks like the upper control arm is bent, then why don't you start with replacing that?

Check the lower control arm and tie rod end. Anything can be bent.

if its clicking you may need a new ball joint my friends was clicking to hell before the axle went. when i went in to get a muffler put in the guy showed me that my cv boot was torn and some of the grease had gotten out he said this means i need a whole new axle. b.s. still on it doing fine and no clicking so you just have to see what different people tell you or go to someone who wont give u b.s. but like he said anything that you see damaged i would replace and go from there

get your tie rod checked out...check the cv boot/axle an since your uca is bent just get a set of camber kits that replace the entire uca like the skunk2's

absolutely it could. if its bent that the camber will be all jacked up on that one wheel. I would bet if the upper arm is bent though then you have more damage than just that. I would check your lower arm and tie rods as mentioned earlier. if you need oem parts go though iaa or sohfast. they will have it for sure

only way to know is to get in there and take a look at it. my g/f hit a curb and i had to replace the lower balljoint and lower control arm. Everything else was fine.

rare in the junkyard? hardly. There's millions of them, literally. You should haven't a problem locating them. I am willing to guess all 96-2000 civics use the same UCA, regardless of trim.
