friend hit a curb...major steering problms
my friend was messin around in a wendys parking lot doing power slides...he had the wheel turned to the right and slid sideways into a curb..the front left wheel hit the curb first and took most of the force, now when he drives it..the wheel does not straighten out after a turn it just stays there, it takes more effort to turn the wheel in either direction no matter what speed, and the wheels are no longer aligned, the car drifts to the left when holding the wheel straight...the car hit the curb pretty hard..is there major damage? or can this be an alignment-only problem? worse-case scenarios?
Your answers lie in your local alignment shop. Most likely it's just an alignment issue; I've been ice racing Hondas for 5 years and have found Honda suspension mounting points to be VERY durable. But you never know... the alignment shop will be able to tell you for sure.
Maybe he got lucky and just bent a tie rod. "Worse-case scenario" would be that he bent an LCA, or the cross member, but that's pretty unlikely.
He has to take it in. The shop will be able to tell for sure.

Your alignment shop will be able to tell if the suspension has been tweaked. Id be surprised if the alignment COULD fix that. Were talking some bent suspension components.
