if im running a p28 then do i check the codes for that year civic? or mines, because i have a 2000 civic. another question is when i check the codes there is an intitial first flash like really fast, and then 1 long one, and the long one keeps repeating. is the flash just nothing? i know i got a code 10 but just seeing if i got a code 1.

code 1 is o2 sensor on the manifold

 

there is usually one flash that blinks when you first turn the battery on.

it could be a code 10 or 1, depending on the length of the flash.

go to autozone and get the P code for it to make sure which.

 

do i get the tester for ob1? or 2?

 

if the code 10 is the only one repeating itself than that's the only code you have. the first initial light is just when your turning it on,
