Please HELP! I have two ?'s about leather seats
I have a '96 GS-R, and I have cloth seats. I am thinking about trading and adding cash with my cloth ones for some leather ones from an '00 GS-R.
My two questions are:
Will the leather ones fit right where the cloth ones were with no modification needed?
And how much cash should I give him extra for the leather seats?
Both are black in color, if that matters.

Yes they will fit. As for paying him extra cash, it depends on what condition they're in and how much your willing to give up for them leather.
But if I were you, I'll stay with cloth. I just like cloth better unless I got ITR's but i'm pooOr.

I reccomend it because it grips your butt better (at least it grips mine better) so you don't slide around, but then again, I'm coming from the standpoint of a Chrysler LHS VS an Integra. Most of my experience with lethar is that it's slippery though. When you corner, you want the seat to hold you, not for you to be clinging to the steering wheel for dear life.

True that, the leather seats in my teg sucked when I was auto-xing or lapping. Although, there are these anti-slip mats that are used for holding carpeting to like brick floors that I cut out and put on the seats to hold me in...

i don't race or auto-x with my car, so the leather is comfortable enough for me, although i can definitely see the need for different seats when i take hard corners.

i'd say stick with cloth. My GS came with leather, and i hated it. I'd slide around too much, and like everyone else said, cold in winter, hot in summer. Also, mine started to crack where my boney *** sits, and now it looks horrible. I bought some no name racing seats off ebay, and problem solved.
