Accord ECU which led?
Hi, newbie here with a newbie question, so I apologize if this is another played out thread. Two months ago I bought a '90 Accord LX. The other day the wife was driving it and it just shut off on her and wouldn't start up for a few minutes. Seems like it shuts off when it gets warm and won't start until later when it's cool. Sounds like the igniter/ignition module, but, the entire distributor was replaced just a month before I bought it. The CEL came on and I tried to check the code but the ECU has two lights that are blinking. The one on the left is 15 and the one one the right is 14. Which light should I be looking at? I have already done searches here and found the thread with all the codes so I know what they are. I just can't find anything on which light I want to look at. Sorry again if this is redundant and thanks for the help.

I to have two sets of lights on the passenger floorboard ! But the Chiltion Manual says to Use a jumper and your CEL will be the light you will watch for the code.
--->on 1990 - 95 Accord (except v-6) and 1992 - 95 Prelude, the codes are read from the check engine light after the two wire service connector has been jumpered. on Accords the serice connector is under the dash on the passenger side, far right under the kick panel. also your ECU (as you look at it on the floor) is on the left and your TCM is on the right.

^^^^^ AGREED, sounds like your main relay is bad

Main relay huh? That would be next to the fuse block to the left side of the drivers feet right? Looks like a plug with a wire harness hooked into it? I'll check that. Now if that went the engine wouldn't run, but, what about everything else electrical like the radio, blower, etc.? Thanks guys.

yep, mine (on a 98) was up behind the dash to the left of the steering column.
I believe everything else will still work (radio, blower, etc.) the car just won't start. (main relay controls fuel pump on/off)

Ok, I messed with the car some more. It sat and idled for over an hour with the heat on full blast and never shut off and threw no codes. But, when I shut it off it would not start back up for a few minutes. Got harder to start each time I did this. So I took your advice and pulled the main relay. It had a weird smell to it. Almost like a burning smell but its hard to tell. I was unable to fix it with the solder trick, the soldering iron wouldn't fit in there. So I'm picking one up at the dealer tomorrow for $54. Hopefully this does the trick. Thanks!
