The red ignition wire of the boost gauge that needs to be on an ignition/on during cranking source is easily installed to the yellow wire on the yellow plug behaind the cluster. Just tap on to that wire and call it a day.

Autometer electronic boost gauges use a auto-zero function that can't just be hooked up to any ignition sourse.

I bet this wire is the same on other hondas, but i'm not quite sure.
