Default Cutting airbox and whole for cold-air?

I heard about people cutting the bottom of their airbox and somewhere around the front wheel well to get cold air just straight to the box. I was wondering where should i cut and anything else id need to do. 94 vx

it goes from the air box down behind the bumper and back up. cut before it begins to come back up.

not a great idea, it leaves expensive damage to the car if you find it doesnt do anything, your better off putting an induction kit on it there cheap as hell on ebay and you get that inducted note from the engine, apart from that you will miss the whistle as the induction kit sucks air in when you floor it.......

i would not butcher the stock airbox. you can take the resonator off the airbox and make your own cold air scoop. all you will need is the cheapest CAI from ebay and it doesn't even matter much for what car.
