ok i put in a new walbro intank fuel pump like 4 weeks ago and my car has been smelling like gas ever since. at first it was ok, but then the first time i filled up gas for my car and drove it, its smelled like gas since. i checked for leaks but nothing, all's good. why? is this normal? but it has gotten better now though, smells less n less but you can still notice a little scent.

 

i would double check the gasket on tank i had this same problem in my eg and the gasket was offset a little . the only thing you should notice with the 255 is the sound of the pump running

 

i pulled out my fuel pump like 2 months ago and reinstalled it. my car still smells of gasoline. If you can't find any leaks still probably just some gasoline dripped off of the old pump into your car.

 

yeah imma have my buddy that did the install take another look at it. probably just whip everything down too. 'cause the smell makes me dizzy while driving. and yes... the pump buzz is loud .. annoying too..
