Quick question about Stainless Steel and Mild Steel....
I'm piecing together my intercooler piping and was wondering if its okay to weld stainless steal to mild steal? Theres a guy on HT that has cheap ss straight piping right now but I'm going to order mild steal from Kteller for the U-bends and 90 degree bends. Also what cons are there mixing these two metals?
Yeah, you can weld it together. I wonder though...if you're going with some stainless, why not go with all of it. This will increase the value of pipe and car, should you sell either. It also will eleminate the need for paint or coating...as well as the chance of internal rusting.

Thats a good point but the cost of ss mandrel bends are insane!
I might look into that though, thanks. Anymore inputs? Not sure what kind of welds. Im going to have my friends dad do it.
