Imagine that awesome sound every time you go in reverse.... IN ALL GEARS...

Fun at skip barber, would be fun if I had a race car, fun if you KNOW what are you doing when you drive the car.

Funny. To get the power to the ground we do in Honda's the Nissan boys have to spend as much money on their trans' as we spend makin the motor bullet proof... Where's the SR20 NOW

Stock Honda gears run 9's.... but I'm guessin BlackR that this is a joke post anyways.

All I wanna know is how long til some rich ricer buys one to BLING out the engine bay

DOPE DAWG

I Just got my alligator re-upholstered seats and 5 TV's with EDM S4 front end conversion from the West Coast Customz Krew

And that amazing 20HP powered neon intake, you know the neon has the turbonator affect.

Actually, I'm pretty serious. You DO realize that this is a honda tranny, right?

Depending on how much they want for it, this tranny could be a good deal. Straight cut gears are stronger + you can shift a LOT faster. Carbon coated syncro's, too. This wouldn't be for a daily driver anyway, so what do I care?

I mean, let's add up the $ spent on the tranny I have already:

itr tranny = $1200
ats final drive = $750
ats lsd = $900

damn, that's already close to $3k!

Now let me add the ats 1,3/4/5 gears = $1300

Ok, now I'm over $4k.....

If they want say ~$5k for this tranny, then it's not a bad deal at all.....

I'm going to find out how much they want...

Oh dear, Ken, well, good luck with that! I'd put that $5k somewhere else... but I guess I like my stock transmission. A sequential shifter would be a neat trick, but I could buy a spare ITR for that price.

Still, that thing is blingerific! I would imagine it going for ~8K.

Bzzt, wrong answer.

Anyhow, check out this...
https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=1085206&page=1

$3200 for the Type 4 tranny, Type 5 can't be that much more..

http://www.overboost.com/obs/h...sults

And another advertised price. I guess the Type 5 is custom gearing, so you get a custom price

Yup, not a bad deal eh? And just think how much lower you can get it for with a shop hookup. But the dog box gears are going to be $$$... still good to know I wasn't too far out of the ballpark.

Now what color to order it in.....? Maybe anodized RED? BLING BITCHES I SAID BLING!

.....seriously.

.....what's not funny is that you posted this at 6am!

No human being should be up so early... unless they're just coming home from a night of partying.

-the r0cker, whose head is still hurting from lack of sleep and who was 1hr late to work again today.

On Topic: nobody wants to be able to shift without the clutch? Straight cut/ dogbox gears own!

Personally I LOVED the straight cut gears; how fast you could ****, the sounds they made, the indestructability.... I mean it has made me rev match double clutch downshift at every light now... but there are times I forget. Those times you forget KKRRRRUUUUNNNNCCCCCCHHHHHH.

AHHHH grinding.... but if it's a track car to the straight cut gears.
