Why does the t51r sound like a spaceship.?? (video inside)
Everyone says it sounds like that because of the dual inlet housing,,
But Ive heard many dual inlet turbos on cars and tanks and diesel trucks and they dont sound like that..They make that high frequency noise but not like that..

The anti-surge housing on the T51R is different from any diesels or most aftermarket turbos, which causes the difference in sound. I have a ported shroud on my T67 and it sounds pretty similar to that from a distance.

Ryan Auntry posted about this turbo a while ago.
We all came to the conclusion that it would be stupid to run this turbo on a street honda.
Maybe a huge bore H22 stroker motor...lol.

i was trolling around on evolutionm.net and someone over there has the t51r kai on his evo. said he gets full boost by 5500 rpm on that little 2.0 liter motor.
i dont think it would be "that" bad on say an h22. i dont think anyone wants to find out though cuz that turbo is way too expensive to find out your motor cant even make it reach full boost.
