Umm, what units are those compression numbers in? Certainly not PSI...

Oh, jesus, I get it now. You need a space in between the numbers. They are all consistent, that's the good news. Those numbers are fine for a 9:1 compression motor. 10.5 to one would be around 200+ depending on whose gauge you use.

[E] I'm running my motor at 170-220 compression. Burning a quart every 1000 miles. *shrug* I should check my numbers again, haven't looked at 'em in a while.

While on this topic,
Anyone know where i can get a larger pressure gauge for my compression tester?
I maxed out at 300 on all cylinders. Kinda curious on the real numbers

Consistency is key always...

....and your not too far off except for what looks like that 3rd cylinder!

... since this is on a 9:1 turbo motor.

The numbers seem appropriate given the application.

use one designed for a diesel motor.
since diesels have very high compression.

why are you bumping this? that compression is perfect, you already got your answer numerous times.

Sean, have you done a compression test on your motor?
Otherwise ... this is all pretty much pointless.

Those numbers are great for 9:1 compression. Don't touch it.

Wow, this topic flew.
Answering the question:
B18C Block - Fully balanced, micropolished crank, strenghtened and shopeened rods, CTR pistons, ARP rod bolts
B16A Head - ITR valves, valvesprings, retainers, guides, cams, ect - Milled .003

So i should be able to stick a nipple fitting on a diesel gauge, and use my existing compression tester right? I'm curious how high it will go.
