Default Honest opinions about my DA

Aight, real quick this is what I'm thinking about doing. Exterior wise keepin it all stock with exceptions to little things like clear corners and some shaved moldings..... and spending all my money on motor ****.... lol, just a thought but I've seen on here some nice *** DA's stock lookin outside and killer work under the hood. I was in to the body kits and all that stuff but kinda grew out of it.... so you think sleepish look is the way to go?

If you want to keep the stock look, but improve the appearence, I'd suggest changing your 90-91 front to a 92-93 front with an ITR style lip. The lip is very subtle, but looks great.

Or if you want to keep the 90-91 Bumper, what you can do is search for an OEM LIP KIT, which is hard, but worth it. If that doesnt go well, what you can do is go with a JDP Carbon Fiber Lip for the 90-91 bumper. Looks hot.

So for exterior, you should:
-JDP carbon fiber lip or OEM LIP KIT.
-94-97 Accord Rear Lip
-DC Side Skirts
-Lowered with GSR Blades.

Thats just a plan....

Oh yea, its def. getting slammed and nice rims, I think I am gonna do the stock lookin outside but with some little things to improve it..... the 92-93 doesn't have those stupid fog light holes below the turn signal does it? Also, the middle part, does the edges on the side of the opening start out than halfway down go in? I hate that about my bumper... need a new one anyway but didn't even think about 92-93 with ITR lip.... do they have side and rear lips too or just front?

Also, depends what are your goals for your motor. Are you planning on staying non-vtec or go vtec? If you are planning on doing an all motor non-vtec build up, I suggest you check this out:

You probably have a 90-91 Bumper. Here is a pic from forum member InkedUp on G2IC. He has a JDP front lip, side skirts and rear lip.

Since you are stuck on debating whether going with B16 or B18. I'll offer my opinion. I would go with a B16. Now some people might bash and say this and that. But in japan, the DA comes with a B16. Now the JDM B16 Xsi motor will have the same HP as a USDM GSR. Its a good platform to build-on.

I know people will disagree with me...so lets hear it.

LOL. I was reading an old SCC magazine when they compared the GSR to a Civic SI. Since the GSR has a bit more power, it has an advantage, but after about 4-5k rpm, its about the same. I'm just trying to save you some cash so you can put some more money into the engine.

Yea, I noticed lately B16's are easier to come by than GSR motors and ALOT cheaper

If you can get an oem lip kit def do that for the exterior, if not go 92-93 bumper and a nice lip. Also instead of clear corners get the jdm 1 pieces, maybe power folding mirors would b cool too.

man, both of the above cars look wicked, but I'd say go with the 92/3 bumper. much smoother. and although I do not like amber, the painted bumper lenses are really starting to grow on me. it makes for a cleaner look than the semi-clear lens with the amber insert [lame]. one-piece headlights make a world of difference in looks. go for clean and smooth. it seems like most of the blinged-out cars I see that have multi-layer chameloen paint jobs and bagged suspension and LCDs and all that bullshit have stock motors with chrome parts. all show, no go. but the ones that look just a tad nicer than stock or even some that just look like *** are the ones that tear it up. sleeper = good.

you mentioned shaving the mouldings....I think it looks kind of funny with the groove along the side. in the pics Moogen Powah posted, the mouldings are painted to match...that looks way nicer IMO.

good luck and have fun! [I'd post pics of mine, but it looks like *** AND it's slow....]

Ok.... now I think I got it.... tell me what you guys think about this. 92-93 Front bumper (BTW, do i need the 92-93 bumper support?), one piece headlights, clear bumper lens in bumper with hyper white bulb, stock fenders with jdm side markers (clear with hyper white bulb), tail lights are the stock red/white (keeping them) but changing bulbs, mirrors stock, JDM rear spoiler with LED brake light (if i can get a picture of it, but beside that I have the stock spoiler now).... only thing I'm stuck on is you guys think I should shave those 2 roof grooves and the side moldings off? Stuck on the sides cause of the bumpers being stock and having it... well tell me what you guys think of that combination there.... you think it'll look good?

IMO, I'd rather have the side moldings on. Without them, it just looks like there's something missing.

-92/93 Bumper(w/support) with a Type R front lip is good
-JDM One piece Headlights w/ Raybrig Bulbs
-JDM Amber bumper with Amber Side Markers
-Get 92/93 Tail Lights....they look hot.
-92/93 GSR or JDM Spoiler with 3rd Brake Light.
-Get JDM thin side moldings. Looks very nice.
