I searched H-T and google for 3 days and cant find what im looking for, maybe you can help:

ive got a 98 ls block (obd2) with auto and gsr vtec head. i cant use the p28 because my car has a seperate transmission control so that means i cant use vtec. i cant use the the stock ecu because its not obd1. i know i can convert to vtec but that doesnt make it obd1 and i want to know if you can somehow control the tranny with the p28 instead of the TControl. if you know anything about this let me know, i dont want this vtec head to go to waste. i want to keep the auto because 1. its better for bracket racing 2. i like being different

i would say try to get an obd1 b16 auto ecu from japan or just run like a vfac2 to activiate the vtec with your stock ecu

 

you could use a msd window switch or a vafc
