SRS light - question
Hi!
The car is 1996 Civic coupe D16Y7...
I want to remove my steering wheel with drivers airbag... I want to install Momo Millenium steering wheel...
I also want the passenger airbag to be DISABLED
My question is: HOW DO I GET RID OF SRS LIGHT???
Cos if I disconnect the connectors and leave the passenger airbag inside, I will get SRS light lit up all the time...
If I remove the SRS fuse, will that light go away?
Or any other way?
Or should I just pull out the SRS bulb...

But is there another way???
Like fuse or something cos if I ever want to sell the car, I will install back the OEM steering wheel and airbag...
And the truth is... I don't like pulling things out if not necessary

DO THIS AT YOUR OWN RISK, I'm not responsible for anything written in this post. As always, demonstrate caution when handling SRS parts/wires.
The service procedure for troubleshooting SRS lights in Hondas includes a step where you disconnect the 2P harness to the airbag, and in the wiring going TO THE SRS UNIT, NOT THE AIRBAG, install a 1.5 to 2.5 ohm resistor. This simulates to the SRS unit that the airbag is there and *should* kill the light if everything else is working properly.
So basically all you would do is disconnect the 2P connector on/just below the steering column, and the wiring that ran back into the dash to the SRS main unit, you would install a 1.5-2.5 ohm resistor to simulate to the SRS unit that an airbag is there.
For the passenger side airbag, you would also just disconnect the 2P harness behind the glovebox/radio area, and install a resistor. This way should you ever put anything back in, all you have to do is reconnect the 2 harnesses.
