Default Cleaning charge pipes? keywords: clean intercooler piping oil

I've got all my pipes fabbed up, but was wondering what others use to make sure the charge piping is clean and free of debris?

I searched, but it's really sucking right now...

i like to wash my pipes with normal car wash soap and clean them like you would clean dishes and then blow them out after with hi-press air hose. Then if they are aluminum i like to polish them up with fine steel wool and migures aluminum polish. looks awsome and gives me a sence of security, aluminum shavings dont aid in combustion. just my .02

Later ... Chris

cap off both ends and slosh some rubbing alcohol threw them, also works great on cleaning intercoolers

Thanks for the feedback. I was going to try washing them tonight - only problem is that some of sections are too long to get into very well. I'm sure I'll find something to improvise with. Maybe I'll shove my girlfriends cat in there.

On a different note, man, those labels that jc whitney puts on some of their bends are a bitch to get off. Finally tried some spray on gasket remover. Messy, but works great

Yeah, the best way is to tie a string to his tail, then pull him through from the other end. Works great.

I just used some degreaser and a refrigerator brush that you can buy at home depot, its a long flexible brush made for cleaning the coils on your fridge.

For pipes, I use a huge rag and brake cleaner and just drag the rag through the pipe.

For intercooler, I use engine degreaser that is safe for aluminum and just spray and wash with a garden hose. And then blow it dry afterwards.
