do Breather valves help
ok on the intake by the throttle body u can put a breather valve or air filter, and also one on the valve cover, wut is the purpose of these items and wut is a quality of having them there then instead of the hose between them, thanx?
In what i understand, breather valves are used to relieve excessive crankcase pressure. By doing so, it reduces gasket oil weeping and some oil consumption. Also, on high compression engines, it will permit easier starting.
I do not see, unless someone explains why, but i do not see why you would need one.

In stock form, there is a hose from the intake to the valve cover. Air comes down the intake pipe from the filter and through that hose to provide the crankcase with whatever fresh air it needs. And just FYI, the air comes out through the PCV valve to relieve any pressure built up.
If you want to get rid of the hose, put a filter on the VC, and plug the nipple on the intake. Having a filter on the intake pipe is pointless, if you ask me...
