Default turbo additional weight?

As the topic says, Im not sure if this has ever been covered, but anyone know how much weight you gain when you add something like a fmax t3/t4 kit with fmic? Obviously different for different setups, but I was just wondering on a general number.

I have a t3 turbo... weighs (i'm estimating) about 12-15 pounds?
Pipes aren't all that heavy.
Intercooler is maybe 5-10 pounds
bov & wastegate a few pounds...
Not counting the manifold, since that's actually being replaced.

Not too much weight.

But with everything... (other little things too--fmu, fuel pump, etc)
maybe around 40 lbs?

This is just a speculation. I'll surely weigh all of my parts when I get them all.

Im not looking at power vs weight ratio of adding a turbo, im just wondering what people think the total weight addition is of a turbo. Since our cars stock are already nearing 3K lbs, i think we're fat enough.

how could you not look at it as power vs weight?? if someone is adding a turbo, then their concerned with power, and if you're getting a conservative 80hp out of a 8psi setup weighing in at 40lbs, then i doubt anyone would notice the added weight. of which, 40lbs is not a lot of weight. there would be several ways to offset it (weight reduction).

sorry, maybe i'm confused of the point of your post, or the second one really. if you want to know the weight of a turbo setup - call the manufacture of a specific type, i'm sure they'll tell you or give you a ball-park number.

No, I understand that the power increase is more than enough for the turbo, I was just wondering how much my car weighs extra with turbo on it. From the sounds of it, the concensus sounds like 30-40lbs, which I think is reasonable.

the point of turbo is to have a small amount of weight addition and gettin extreme amounts of torque and hp from it. i wouldnt care if it even added 100 lbs still in the long run it kicks ***.

You're probably looking at a 50 lb weight increase.

Relocate the battery to the trunk and your car will have roughly the same f/r weight ratio.
