Default Flooded/Leaking water 96-98 Civic Hatchbacks, This happen to you?

I have a 98 Civic Hatchback and down here in California, we have been getting NON stop rain for the past couple of weeks. I left my civic out for about a week or so in the rain. Upon driving it the other day, I knotice a puddle of water on the floorboards and in the spare tire area filled up!
Ive talk to few other buddies of mine, that seem to have this similar problem.
I sat in my car the next day for about a 1/2 hour and could not nucleus the problem.
All my seals look perfectly fine, I see NO signs of leaking in any areas.

Since 3 people have confirmed with me that there hatches leak as well, I was wondering if any of you have the same problem. And if so, what do you to fix it?

I pulled out my WHOLE interior (carpet, seats, plastics etc) and cleaned everything..and now the civic is back in the garage. But damn, I dont really want to be worried whenever rains...on my car flooding

Thanks for any help you provide

If you're just having problems with the hatch, replace the taillight gaskets.

Pull it all out again, and sit in your car while someone sprays a hose all around the exterior. Watch for water trickling in.

I'd say that sometimes, in exceptional weather conditions, stuff like this will happen. I doubt that a car is waterproof to the point of tolerating 2 weeks of constant rainfall without at least some water getting in...

I have read of a few other ppls 96-00 hatch leaking aroudnd the tail lights. Mine does this a small bit but not to the point where there is any pooling, just a few drips now and then.

my 94 has a puddle in the passenger side floorboard everytime the snow melts. i pulled my carper to see where its coming from but i think it may be because my windshield has more rocks than odb ever dreamed of smoking hit it. maybe the seal is broken. who knows

Something that specific, most likely not, but it'd be worth giving them a call
