Default oil, coolant....

i searched...

So i opened up my radiator when it was a bit too hot (stupid me)
but anyways, it exploded everywhere...
And my coolant looks more like oil than anything else...
I'm thinking blown headgasket. I have yet to check my oil.

Anything else it could be???

if there was every any stop leak added it could be that.

Def check your oil and the underside of the oil cap. A really good way to tell is to do a compression test.

I used some of that bars stop leak in my GF's car, its really dark brown almost black.

We had taken her car in for a water pump replacement and the mechanic thought for sure it was oil. It was the stop leak.

usually if a headgasket blows you will know it by how the car runs. It will miss and sputter. At least thats my expr. Also you would have noticed a loss in coolant.

In some cases, it is possible that your coolant simply changed color. I have seen this on Fords where the coolant was interacting the block casting. Of also, that "stop leak" crap was added to it.

If you are not experiencing any tell tale signs of a blown head gasket, i would not even look at that possibility. A simple flush of the system would be in order and then recheck the level and color in about 2 weeks.

Buy the prestone flush kit from AutoZone. Flush it once every two weeks for about 8 weeks and it should get most of that **** out of there. It's what I had to do.

I have since replaced the engine in the car, and I looked in the water pipe of the old engine and it was all nasty and rusty. Bar's stop leak is horrible stuff.
