Default JDM H22

Ok, I was wonderin if anybody could explain the 10 horsepower difference between the 4th Gen USDM AND JDM engines. What made the JDM's have 10 more?

for one, the jdm has 10.6:1 compression compaired to the h22a1 with 10.0:1. not sure of other differences, i know theres some emmissions stuff.

its to due with the slight raise in compression, and probably a slightly more aggresive fuel/spark map with the jdm ecu, because the have higher octane gas as a minimum than we do..

and its only 10hp at the crank, that is pretty negligible
