I have a '99 Accord EX coupe.
The driver's side door lock stopped working. Every time I try and flick the switch nothing happens. Whether I try to lock or unlock nothing happens. The passenger side lock is fine. The switch seems to be a bit loose. Not really sure what it is or why it started all of a sudden.
It's not a big deal right now because I can use my key but it's just a pain in the *** to have to use when I have keyless entry.
Any thoughts or sugestions will be greatly appreciated. Although I don't think I want to take off the damn door panel and deal with the wiring.

I have had the same problem as you.
The problem is in the design of the door solenoid unit. Condensation builds up in the bottom of the unit and rusts away and seizes the motor armature and actuators.
Honda knows about the problem. But problems usually only appear after your warranty has run out. The bean counters at Honda know they have a problem but they will not do anything about it. All they have to do is drill a small drain hole in the bottom of the unit and moisture will run away or evaporate. Problem solved. Why would Honda do this when they can sell you a new part? Think of the millions af actuators they can sell.
Sorry, the only thing you can do is change the unit. It is pretty simple to change if you have any mechanical inclination at all. If it's any consolation the driver's side actuator is cheaper than the passenger side actuator.

Check your fuses.
Check your grounds
Peal the door panel off and check hot leads.

Damnit! Fine.
Last time I took off the panels to install my speakers I ended up with even more rattling and creaking. Pissed me off.

Update:
Being the busy/lazy mother f*cker that I am, I didn't even bother with it. I kept using my damn key to open the door everyday. Lo and behold, to my surprise, problem went away after a week. Sweet!
This is my new approach to dealing with all of my car problems. Leave it alone and it'll go away!
Now if only that damn screeching from my rear wheel well would go away. Oh and the smoke coming from the engine bay.
